Default Just replaced an ABS sensor that I mangled up during a rear-bearing replacement job and

I'm still getting an ABS fault after 15 minutes of driving.the ABS activates at very slow speeds when approaching a stop, you can feel the brake pedal flutter.Do I need to reset an ABS code with a VAG tool ?.At start up there is no ABS fault code,it only comes on after a few minutes of driving,Sensor was purchased at Stealership !!

Any advice ?

Default did you clean the hole where the sensor sits?

I had a dirty ABS sensor cause the exact same problem. When I looked at the sensors on VAG, you can see one rear wrong at low speeds and causes ABS to kick in at low speeds. I took out the sensor and cleaned it and cleaned out the hole as best I could and The light and problem went away.

Default well, I didn't do anything special

I cleaned the sensor with windex and just wrapped some paper towel around a screw driver and stuck it in the hole and moved it around. I might have sprayed some windex in there too. maybe try swapping sensors side to side and see what happens?

Default I just remembered that, before inserting the sensor,I lubed it up with some synth grease,Can that

lead to Sensor problems?

Check the ABS ring on the hub... it could be cracked.

Default no idea...I didn't grease mine up at all

so I guess I cleaned everything off. You might want to try it and see what happens.
