K&N Drop In Filter
#6
Agreed. I have cleaned my filters (on a few cars) more than a few times....
And each time I wash them I just see the $25 to $40 bucks I save each time. And just last month, I flow tested my nth cleaned K&N cone is still performs 96% of an open filter element, which is 1% better than a stock filter and 2% better than a RAM air drop in. So far, I have not damaged any engine because of a K&N filter, but I did have to replace my Mazda engine because the cooling system rusted for a busted water pump

No additional power for an S4 - a couple of people measured air flow through MAF and there was no
increase at any RPM range. They can be cleaned and used again and again though. I have a AWE ITG Filter (using the stock air box) and even with that I could not tell any difference (in my S4) at all
