Default K04 for the '01 A4: Are larger fuel injectors needed?

I'm confused about this issue. I'm in an '01 DBW that with AWE/GIAC software, has sufferred from power loss and surging/hesitation at WOT above 4000 rpm in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I have the 5 bar FPR and now have the MTM modified cat, ported exhaust manifold, and 70mm downpipe/exhaust.
In order to get the MTM stage 3 software, I'm told I need to get the larger injectors. I gues my question is this: If I get the larger injectors will I be fine then with my GIAC K04 software?
(Things NOT causeing my problem: hose leak, bad BPV, bad MAF, bad/fouled plugs, or bad 02 sensor.)

Default if you want MTM software that uses larger injectors, make sure you get their MAF housing too.

run the large injectors at the pressure they recommend and your fuel map should be ok.

5 bar seems really high - one way to check if the fuel injectors are maxing out is to vag and check the injector cycle, if its 25ms and above, you are running out of fuel.

Default I dont think it will be that high even though the dbw injector

pulse has max reading of 35.6 ms, which is at the point my car went lean. Everything below that was running perfect. The dbw maf also has a max reading of 215 g/s and even the GIAC 2000 J31 chip for the K04 which runs 27+ psi does not fully hit that limit.

Another way TimB can go is to put in a 1:1 adjustable FPR and lower it to about 3.6 bar and run 310cc injectors. This will give the right amount of fuel down low and me a little richer at higher rpms.

Default You can buy bosch 310cc-330cc for a ford car.

The adjustable fpr's can be bought from Evo Motorsports or ECS.
