KO4 Questions?(more inside)
Thanks to all the responses concerning ATP's GT25 kit, I have decided to go with the KO4 for my 99.5 TIP. Now that I have decided that, what about tuners for the KO4. Im looking for the most performance possible from the KO4. So in saying that; How does the AWE kit compare to the Neuspeed kit and the Evo Motorsport kit? Any experiances with any of the mentioned would be great. Is it worth adding a FMIC and ported and polished exhaust manifold to the kits? Also EVo has stages to their KO4 kits. How does using a FPR compare to changing Injectors? Will their be a noticable difference between chipped and KO4'd?

Neuspeed K04 will have less power
The EVO, AWE, Matrix and DSR kits all use the same GIAC chips.
Yes it is worth it to even add a FMIC to a K03 so the K04 will take big advantage of that.
Not sure if GIAC does a kit for larger injectors, but going with larger ones will give you a more even amount of fuel thru the rpms and power. The stock ones just seem to lean out up top when ran with a 5 bar fpr.
Yes you will notice a difference between chipped and the K04. The k04 will kick in a little bit later but will have more power to redline. Manual cars tend to drop 1 full second in the 1/4 mile going from chip to K04.

Hohenester makes a kickass 258 hp kit with k04.
Larger injectors 350 cc, 3 bar fpr, larger maf, S3/TT 225 exhaust manifold, aluminium piping to the turbo and a new downpipe.
Or why not the APR 280-326 hp kit? Awsome!!

http://www.rattracing.com</a

Hey Audi2ptzero......(inside)
Do you personally think a KO4 is worth it on a TIP? Can I make a decently quick kit(from a roll obviously)? Will a ported and polished exhaust manifold push boost farther up in the RPM range and if not how can it?

Check out O.CT too!
I am really happy with the O.CT K-04 Stage 2+ conversion on my A6!
Bob and Pete at Stratmosphere were very helpful in getting me set up.

O.CT has kits for 1.8
FYI, O.CT has a growing range of offerings for the 1.8T engine as well as for the 2.7T.
I think their stage 3 setup is rated at about 240 HP and the torque curve is FLAT. If it is anything like the setup I have in my car, it will be SMOOTH running as well.
Here is a link to A4/1.8 info on the Stratmosphere web site. I strongly suggest calling Bob or Pete, as many configurations and options exist. (also, Stage 4 is coming soon!)

http://www.stratmosphere.com/a4_engine_and_chips.htm</a
