Level Ten Valve Body
does this mod change your shift points? or is this to improve the speed of the shift.
I'm looking for something on the market that will improve trans operation. my 99 AEB tip will fly through the gears and it never leaves me in the power. I have installed the Tip Chip, it improves the speed of the shift, but still doesn't keep the tranny in a gear when I am accelerating. Please offer your input.

Supposedly, the valve body changes the amount of pressure that is exerted on
the clutch packs for each gear. This prevents slipping when you have upgraded your torque output.
I believe shift points will stay the same because they are controlled by the TCU.
It sounds like your TCU has adapted to a really fuel efficent program. I just swapped TCUs on my 99.5 and it was noticibly better, but it is adapting to a more boring mode. I'm going to try changing the code via VAG-COM to 00011 and see if that eliminates the "learning" that the TCU does.
Does your tip hold each gear to redline if you floor the gas? Mine hold each gear to 6200 rpm if I'm near full throttle when in D.
