Default Looking for a place to get S8 rear slotted rotors

My friend is going to upgrade his S4 rears to S8 brakes and he needs to find a place that has slotted S8 rears. Anyone know?

Do the S8 rears fit the S4 for sure?

Default hmmm interesting...do you need the brake carrier as well?

Or is the only thing you need is the caliper and rotor?
Oh yeah, I assume the S8 has a larger piston and rotor?

Default Yeah, the caliper bolts to a bracket aka the carrier

which also surround the rotor in some shape and form usually. I just wanted to know what parts would be needed to bolt up to the S4, and what is the benefit of the S8 rears vs the S4

Default The A8 carrier has to be modified to fit an S4, I would assume that the S8 carrier would too.

See my A8 brake FAQ for more info.

Hi !

Where is the A8 brake FAQ.
there was no link here.

I´m interested in how the S8 caliper differs
from S4 caliper.

S8 caliper is for 280 x 22mm disc
S4 caliper is for 256 x 22mm disc

I would like to have pictures from the
S8 hand brake mechanism.

www.ultimategarage.com has th epictures of
new S4 system.

I have excellent 280x22mm rear
brake prototype for S2 coupe but
for S2 sedan the handbrake mechanism
needs different caliper than for S2 coupe

I would be happy to see the A8/S8 hand brake
mechanism to see if that differs from
S2 sedan look.

rgs,
tommy
