Perfect, I should have seen it in the mag I got the oil cooler from l >>>Xcellent Kit Pictu
I appreciate the info. I buy most of my stuff from racer wsale.and it was there beside the oil cooler:-)
Which oil cooler did you use 10 row or 16/24? I found on my 5 cyl that a little oil cooler go's a long way and put much too big a cooler in and had trouble getting the oil hot. Is yours an a4 or s4, I cant really tell w/body kit, which I really like and would like to see more pics of and talk to you offline abt. Is this the kit that has the full fenders front and rear? I have only seen one pic of the kit from a seller and it was in German and I cannot fond it. I need to be able to run 10" tires all around, I heard that the 1 kit was built to accomodate it. Pls let me know where I can find this please. PS a DTM spoiler would be perfect for it, if I find some I will let you know.GREAT KIT

Re: Perfect, I should have seen it in the mag I got the oil cooler from l >>>Xcellent Kit P
Only the KW (and other Audi Sport motors) had a substantial oil cooler...The others have much smaller coolers, only around 6" long and 2-3" high (forget the depth of the two I have). All have similar/the same lines and fittings. Since my car isn't using the aux. radiator I may get a larger oil cooler to help keep things cool. But, I don't have an AC condensor in the way of the radiator, so I may not have to? We'll see...

Since somebody has already pointed you to a bypass thermostat...
...I have to ask: WhyTF would you want to put an Accusump in ? They are, in my own highly inflated opinion, a major pain in the ***...and generally worthless. I have removed MANY from race cars, and thrown them onto the great heap of Accusumps that I've managed to amass here.
Downside: Lotsa extra plumbing.
Downside: Oil changes become a tedious procedure, as you need to remove the cooler, Accusump and all associated hoses and flush them out.
Downside: You have to figure out where to put the damn thing, and control it. The electric ones are worthless, IMO and you'll generally forget to open/close the manual valve on a manual one.
Upside: None.
You're much better off with a properly modified oilpan. That means a scraper, windage tray and baffle doors. Doing an Accusump before you do an oilpan is assbackwards, and simply putting a Band-Aid on a problem.
Which leads us to the next question: Do you have an oiling problem ?
There are some production motors that need an Accusump, if raced. Otherwise, Accusumps are big, shiny ballast tubes that create more problems than they could ever solve.
I hope I wasn't too ambiguous here....

It will be the 4th I have had in cars.
This is the 1st I wanted a thermostat in for the Mocal.
Great against wear, tore down one drag engine with 2 seasons and it looked new. Everyone has an opinion, I think they do their job. In a mildly modded car - NO. Easy to get oil dRAINED IF YOU PLUMB QUICK DISCONNECTS???
