looking for WJM or YIPPERS still have misfires
need your help before i go out of my head with these misfires ( codes 16884 16885 ) did the coil pack dance, new plugs, even tried the POS from a friends car... still misfires in cyl.1 and random misfires. timing belt tensioner broke, had to rebuild the head and the bottom end noticed i got 150 psi in cyl.1 and 190 and cyl. 2,3,4.could this high differance cause the random/multiple misfires and misfires in cyl.1 PLEASE HELP GOING NUTS...

i forget off the top of my head what acceptable compressions are but i think 150 is the low end
try this... rotate injectors and see if the misfires follow that. You could have a dirty/bad injector
Sorry for not responding to this thread sooner. The performance forum has been real slow as of late

Re: acceptable compressions
thanks for responding ... i also have done the injector dance and still have misfires in cyl.#1 codes 16884 and 16885...could the trottle body or the MAF cause the misfires in and the random misfires...

From all I've read, you don't need to be concerned about the actual value (unless its REALLY low)...
but how close all of the values are to eachother. When I compression tested my engine, all of the cylinders were in the 190-205 range. That said if one cylinder was 150 and the rest were 190, I would definitely suspect an issue with that cylinder.
Probably worth investigating further... perhaps having a leakdown test done.

my guess now is piston leak, carbon deposits, or a leaking valve
try this... do another compression check
1) get a reading the normal way.
2) pour a little oil in the cylinder
3) repeat compression check
see if that changes anything
-if it does (likely piston rings)
-if not likely one of the valves
try running a seafoam or BK treatment through the system to see if you have significant carbon deposits
