Default Lowering fuel pressure.

Are their any 3 bar fuel pressure regulators available as a drop in replacement for the 4bar regulators on the 12v V6? Lower fuel pressure will make it easier for me to achieve a good idle with 550cc injectors.

Default Rob... I won't pretend that I understand the difference between 3 bar and 4 bar, but...

if I am thinking correctly, BAR is just another measeure of pressure. If this is the case, check out the link below. Justin and I are both running this FPR in our cars and it allows for adjustments between 30 - 100 psi. It's expensive at $195, but it drops right in and adjusting the pressure couldn't be easier.

Also, I received mine 2 days after ordering.<ul><li><a href="http://www.euro-car-service.com/a42.8infopage%201.htm">Adjustable FPR for 12V A4</a></li></ul>

The V6s probably don't have a pressure/vacuum line going to it.

Default yep, 3 bar = 44psi of base fuel pressure, 4 bar = 59psi of base fuel pressure, Looking at the pic...

it looks like there is a pressure signal on the FPR. Does the adjustment just change the ratio of air pressure to fuel pressure, or does it actually change the base fuel pressure?

Default I am 99.9% sure that the adjustment changes the base fuel pressure...

but I wouldn't want to be the source of misinformation so I'll say to give the place a call rather than relying on what I have to say.

Default Re: The V6s probably don't have a pressure/vacuum line going to it.

The V6 does have a manifold referenced FPR like the majority fuel injected cars, that allows for a constant pressure differential between the fuel and the intake manifold.

Scott,

Thank you that will work perfectly for what I need.

NB 1.8T uses the 3bar. That's what I use with my 270cc injectors.
