Default Lucas, I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but ...

will your A4 do a wheelie on a hard launch?

I saw a co-worker do this with his 1.8T AWD - this was his daily driver - about 3 years back. Others on this board think its not possible.

Since I didn't have an A4 back then, I never asked about his mods. But if anyone should know if it's possible for a 4 cyl 1.8T doing a wheelie, you should. Is it possible?

Default sure that wasn't a dream?

I mean think about it, it's a front engined, AWD car. I doubt it would do a wheelie with 1000 lb/ft. A4 != Tractor Pull.

Default It was real... 3 years back when I witnessed it, I dismissed it as nothing that special...

because it was a 4 cylinder and light in the front end. Moving forward to today, it was something special, very special. So special that few believe what I saw on that day.

Did you see BOTH front tires come off the ground, or maybe just one side?

Default No, just saw the driver's side front wheel lift off the road...

I assumed that both wheels lifted. But after seeing "Audiboy's" picture that he posted on a similar thread of mine, I now know that this probably what happen to the car I witnessed doing a "wheelie" (using quotes now because it was "just" a 1/2 wheelie).

We were both stopped, waiting for the stoplight to go green. My car was to the left of his, so I only a view of the driver's front wheel. Audiboy's picture explains what I saw some 3 years ago.
