Lucas_Gchips What are you impressions on the Schrick Cams, what else is worth getting?

Not really worth getting unless you are going for big power
The expense involved on a stock or K-04 turbo the gains would be low. Unless you are going the whole hog..
GT Series turbo or arounf 350HP is Worth getting.
Next best upgrade after a Chip only upgrade, all other stuff exhausts, filters etc etc are of little gain..

How is it that a chip will give you 30HP and
a tuned exhaust will give you an extra 10-15?
Also I'm confused as to turbo cars relative torque increase w/ free flowing or larger diameter exhaust piping. I would think in theory HP increase at higher RPM speed w/ Torque decrease. Yet I've seen the dynotest of various tuners w/ torque and HP increase after FULL sport cat and catback systems are installed w/ a chip.

I've talked to both of them. Kent did not recommend using their cam for any modified 1.8T engine..
They claimed you will only see a power hike in the weaker versions of the engine. I had no reason not to believe them. The cams cost too much to casually experiment with imo.
The Kent cam gives you a little more lift with less duration whereas the Piper cam the other way around... less lift but more duration. The later one gives you more top end power but at the cost of low end power or torque.
Although, you really have to be careful with these guys... you start asking too many questions and they stop talking.
