Default Mike, remember how I told you I'd kill for an air/fuel curve like yours?

Here's why.

I figured out how to graph mine, granted I don't have rpm data included, but you can see where the shifts are, and base your intel that I floored it at just over 3000 rpm, and shifted at around 6500. This is still on the OEM fuel pump too, with 450cc(?) injectors, ATP chip, and an apexi air/fuel computer. This first graph is on the settings I've had for a while, with all the settings in a negative (leaning) position, boost is about 1.6 bar, since it's pretty nice today-about 70 degrees.

This pull is second, third, and starting into fourth gear.

Then, I studied that graph, and attempted to adjust the afc based on that data, and did two more pulls. Listed here respectively.

This run is second & third gear. Notice it almost floods out when I shift into third!

This run is second, third & fourth gear. Again, flooding out when I shift.

I didn't really see any changes in the afr, and the adjustments on the afc were drastic enough where I should've seen something. Basically, I think it's a parameter in the ATP software that just goes wide open injector pulse when I floor it, and the fuel can't keep up at the higher rpm(as we've all decided/confirmed from the last post). I'll be installing that fuel pump soon, and will try to post results on that with new afr graphs.

Also, here's that timing/injector/throttle/rpm graph from before too.

Default Hey, completely OT but....

I have a question for you about a custom suspension set-up for a 1984 BMW 318i. I've emailed a couple other tuners but I guess they don't like to respond to emails. Can I just email you my question?

Default The new pump should help out, then you can lean out the fuel rail

to make it bottom out at 11:1 and go from there thru the gear.

Default How about......

give us a call Monday?

Email works too, but we can work out any quick questions much easier over the phone.

Default Yea, but that curve......

totally untamed. I know I've done a world of good in regards to how the engine runs now, but with that ATP chip, I feel like I'm fighting a war with slingshots, bangsnaps, & a toothpick. So frustrating...

Default NP. Keep in touch!

I'll be doing that fuel pump in my car this week, and will make more than 2 of those adapter/spacer sleeves. So, even if you don't have me do yours, you can still have one of them. Anyone else want one, let me know, call during the week though, preferably AM. I'll probably make a whole 3 ft pipe, and just cut off the pieces as needed.

When and where are you doing your dyno tuning? I'd like to get up to AWE in the next couple weeks, to get a pull in if nothing else. Gotta talk to them about it first though. Plus, I wanted to show you a couple other things you should consider doing....

Default Dyno info

My cousin works for extreme motorsports and they just moved their shop and got an awd dyno. I was goin to have them do it there since its close and they are real good. They were goin to tune my afc with a wideband. But I'll definitely keep in touch thanks again

There shop is located right off of 175 pass the 32 exit. Its about 10min from my house and prolly 5 min from u guys.

Default Re: Dyno info

Yup. I'm pretty sure I know where they are. My problem is, for tuning, my chip limits wot adustability. I don't know what yours is, so.....

I just want to know what my power's at.
