motor oil

I started running the Elf and I am very happy w/it. IMO M1 is the bottom of barrel in comparison
Very over-rated, may be fine for stock and 'stock like' modded cars but it doesnt hold up at 4x stock ouput, shears and wont hold viscosity. I have also run Pyre Power products and they are very good + the owner will do special additives if you have a need. He added Zinc to mine for added wear prevention. I also ran some Joe Gibbs oil and it was very nice, just very expensive. They make a really good dino breeakin oil.

I'm a firm believer in Redline.
The specs on Redline beat them all. I have heard good things about Royal Purple but they don't test their oil to the European specs which is a tougher standard than SAE so can't say technically how it compares with Redline or others. The best Mobil 1 for our cars is the 0W-40 according to their spec sheets but it still doesn't compare with the protection of most of the others. I was always a Amsoil sceptic but it rates almost as high as Redline in oil tests. Pay a little more and get the best. MGH
