Motor swap questions.
Anybody ever swapped a 2.8 for a 1.8T? Can I use Haltech or other stand alone to simplify install? Do I need to swap axles/motormounts/hubs/etc? Anybody with photos/suggestions/instructions please email me at UberQuattro@hotmail.com. Thanks.

it's been done.....
the 1.8T bolts right up to 2.8 trans, motor mounts, etc.
You won't even have to touch the axles.
If you get a 1.8T, get the wiring harness, ECU and everything else, and it will be a plug and play swap for the most part.
