Default MPG (performance) of chipped K03 vs K04

Just wondering about average MPG for people. I'm currently chipped w/the 1.1 GIAC. I seem to average 22mpg between 75% city and 25% highway miles. Range of approximately 300 miles before the gas light comes on.

If I stomp on it all the time I'm lucky to get 18-19mpg. How does this compare to if I had the K04? I've read with the K04 I'd need 5bar FPR which just runs more fuel for the added boost which = less mpg?

Also read somewhere that you can change the MPG using the vag-com. Anyone have info on what this does and how to do it? Thanks.

And if I seem to be below the avg. MPG, what are some things I can do to improve it? I just replaced my air filter w/OEM, changed the plugs with 3-prong OEM. Car is stock except for chip.

Default The mpg will be the same off boost, so your fwy mpg will be about the same.

But the K04 will make more power for the same amount of boost used so your mpg there will go down when you use the power.
