I put a MTM exhaust on my 99.5 tqm a couple months ago and I have a recurring problem. The two stainless pipes keep separating at the coupling. My mechanic tells me that is common with stainless because it doesn't crimp well. I'm thinking of just putting a small weld on the coupling to prevent this. Or, is there some sort of prep treatment that can be done that will prevent this?

Also, the exhaust tips stick out 5 or 6 inches from the lower valence, is this normal? The hangers on the rear muffler are vertical and not slanted one way or another so it looks like they are just too long.
