Default My New GIAC X Chip - Please Help!

I've been waiting 3 years to get the chip for my 2000 S4 and I finally got it today!

I got the X chip with socket off someone on e-bay. I left work early to install it. Took out the ECU, opened it up, and there are no sockets on there! All the chips are soldered down. I thought these were supposed to be easy install. Anyone know what I need to do with this thing?

Please e-mail me.

THanks,
Sebastian

Default the GIAC dealer installs the socket for you

so then you can switch chips afterwards. You need to take it to a GIAC dealer.

Bummer. Is there an installer in Seattle? The closest one listed is Portland.
