Default My Situation (update)

Hi everyone,

It's been a LONG, LONG wait for my car's completion. L&R Racing has been bombarded with Japanese car projects, since it's their specialization and somehow my car took a second priority.

Since I'm under some time crunch now for the EC competition, I've decided to go with Shawn Van Neer (of the old Momentum Motorsports) and his crew at Kinetic Motorsports in Surrey, B.C. (Canada). I had a talk with him yesterday and we'll have new plans for the car.

I also asked him how reasonable it would be for us to get the car ready for the EC show (providing we make it) with his work schedule. He said that he would have to ask his crew if taking up my A4 could be done within their schedule or not. The issues was not just the A4'c completion, but completed so it would be representative of their company's ability. If Kinetic Motorsport is NOT willing to agree to complete my A4 before the EC contest, then I will withdraw from the contest. I'll save myself some good $$$ on transportation anyways from Vancouver, Canada to NJ.

Regardless of the EC contest, I have high confidence that the A4 will be done according to Shawn's scheduling. I'll have to sit down and talk with Shawn regarding the future additions to the car. And Lowell from L&R will also have to transfer all the parts and the race engine to Shawn at Kinetic Motorsports.

Hopefully I can have some timeslips (and MPEGs for Mike) for you guys in the next month!
I'll keep you guys updated!

Cheers!,

Stephen Ho

Default Dont rush it if you cant get it done right the first time.

It would suck to take it all the way there spending all that money and then have something break. I am hoping to have my car up and running in the next few weeks and should be hitting the local tracks right after that.

Default There are 5 Audi A4's that are on the voting ballot

for that event. You can find info on www.europeancarweb.com or pick up the july issue of the magazine and send in your vote.

My car is also one of the 5.

Default Nice to hear! =)

I totally agree. The last thing I want is something to break or screw up during the competition. Also, if a shop's reputation is on the line as well,... nothing is worth risking it. Besides, there will always be more chances in the future!

Well, it's not that it didn't get done the first time. It's not EVEN been through a cycle of completion yet! =( But now I'm glad things will speed up either way. =)

Cheers.
