Default need help locating Bosch fuel injector specs....

I have a fairly comprehensive list of Bosch, Nippondenso, Lucas, DKK injector flow specs, but for some reason cannot find impedance ratings for the Bosch. Any help appreciated

Default 14.5 ohms for the 1.8T and 2.8....

...but remember that Bosch makes low impedance injectors also.

Again, the injector progression is

240cc <2001 1.8T
270cc 2001 1.8T
310cc Ford Motorsport (Bosch) 30lb injectors (from Ebay)
375cc Ford Motorsport (Bosch) 36lb injectors (from Ebay)

Default Thanks. I found the Audi injector data from the Bentley- plus I measured mine...

But what I was looking for was data used by other cars. Here is a short snapshot of my excel database. It actually starts from 12 lbs/hr to 64 lbs/hr flow rate.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/9/injectors.jpg">

as you can see, I do not have impedance data for Bosch other than a few cars like Ford/Merkur with 1.5 to 3 ohm injectors starting at 30 lbs/hour and up (doesn't show in this page)

Thanks for info, I'll keep looking, and if I see cars in scrap yard, I might as well measure them - but not use them.

Default Are the injectors for the 1.8, 12V, and 30V all the same physical size?

In other words, will the progression that you have listed work for any of the three models?

Thanks,
Scott

Default There are only two impedance types...

...low impedance injectors run from 1 to 4 ohms and are totally interchangeable.

High impedance injectors range from 13 to 15 ohms and, again, are totally interchangeable.

Default Thanks for the reply.

From your post below, am I correct in saying that:

All fuel injectors are identical, except for their flow rates and their impedenace?

Or is it just that all BOSCH fuel injectors are identical except for their flow rates and impedance?

Thanks Again,
Scott

Default Ahh but the Porshe had specially built 4.7ohm Bosch injectors ;) Thanks I am aware of that...

but after further searching, and looking at some vehicle specs, I found out that most of the Bosch in my list are 2.2ohm (fast triggering) injectors and I will fry the stock ECU unless I use a resistor block. My goal was to get (at cheaper prices) OEM injectors of various flow rates and experiment with them.

Default There are many types. Some are fatter, thinner, hook up on a hose or a fuel rail (o-ring)...

as Mike had pointed, group in low impedance or high impedance. There are three spray nozzle types of which the most popular is the pintle. On the manifold end, some are shorter, some are longer, but in most cases depending on where they spray in the manifold or how far from the opening of the valve, you can use a wider range.

I took a look at the TT one a while back and I remember seeing much smaller shorter injectors there. The A4/S4 I believe use the same physical size, just different flow rates.

Default Okay, that makes more sense....

I figured that there were many different sizes, I guess I was just confused by the wording of Mike's reply.

If I do anything with injectors, I guess I'll either use ones from the 1.8, or the Ford Motorosport injectors.

Thanks,
Scott
