A4-02-S4

I have recently purchased an A4 2L manual - Although I test drove the 1.8L turbo quattro , I could not rationalise the extra AUD$18K for a little extra grunt. Can anyone help me to provide some information as to what options may be available to me to increase the power of a well under powered vehicle !!

There is very little that can be done without adding forced induction (ie. turbo kit). You could add a K&N filter and an adjustable timing gear. The K&N might add a couple of HP. The timing gear will not add any power, but you can move the power band around (more low end or high end). Other than that, you are looking at internal mods like a cam, porting and polishing and/or adding forced induction (big $$). In the long run, if grunt is what your after...trade in the 2.slow for a 1.8T or V6. Sorry for the bad news...
