Default not sure what exhaust to run(larger turbo guys please read)

hey, i just got a new b6 ultrasport 1.8t. down the road i will be adding a larger turbo to this car. the smallest kit i will be running is a eo5. i would like to do an apr stage 3 even though i do not like the customer service or the pes t-28 when they do come out with a kit for our cars. what exhaust setup do u guys with larger turbos reccomend and what are u running. i had a k04 on my 99 a4 and ran a milltek. i loved it however the muffler was a little restrictive. thermal? apr? what do u guys think. thanks

Default I think that Garrett Turbos is selling a T28 kit for your car now.

It's a repackaged ATP kit. I saw one installed on a B6 A4 at SEMA.

Default Milltek was restrictive with a K04?

Actually, I think it was the K04 that was restrictive with a Milltek

The big question is, are you running the stock cat, high-flow cat, or no cat?

If you're running the stock cat, the exhaust isn't going to make that big of a difference, since the cat is the biggest restriction.

Stick with a 2.5" or bigger exhaust, and you'll be fine.

Default here's the link.

<a href="http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/kits/kit_VW_18T_Longitudinal.htm">here</a>

you'll probably want this for a t28 downpipe

<a href="http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Cod e=ATP-FLS-023&Category_Code=GTBB">vband flange</a>

but your exhaust will atleast be custom for the downpipe, the rest you could just weld it back to a Thermal R&amp;D or everything else thats out there for B6. But then you might as well go custom, since you could pick whatever muffler you want..

Default I'm running the T28 in my 'O4 right now...

with the Neuspeed Cat Back, w/ Downpipe and the Milltek Hi Flow Cat from Stratmosphere. Sound is awesome. Car is very fast and fun, T28 still needs to be tuned however, only running .8 bar, not even close to it's full potential.
