I currently run Semi-synthetic 10W-40 in my cab - I am ready for an oil change and was considering Mobil One full-syntetic. I have 40,000 miles and live in the Philadelphia area (for climate info) Also - does anybody know if a cone air filter is made for this car (2.8) and if it requires a special adapter in place of the airbox? Thanks!!

TAP makes a kit for the 12V V6, I had one on my 90q from them. Install was easy and it helped the engine breath a little better. I think it cost around $95.00. Kit includes cone, 3 mounting arms an adaptor plate (for the filter) and hose clamps/hardware. Thanks for the tip on the filter - what do you recommend for oil? Weight? Do you think Mobil 1 full synthetic is ok? - also is my engine "upgradable" as far as performance modifications - nothing crazy though? thanks!

I had a 95 90q sport, 12V V6 like the cabriolet. I found that it ate the least amount of oil and ran the best when I used 15-50 Mobil 1 (the red cap).

As for upgrades there isn't alot. I did the cone kit, high flow cats and exhaust (stebro). I was about to do the throttle body upgrade when my 90 was taken from me by a drunk driver (rip). Vortrag does lost of head work for the 12V V6, they also did my coilovers. www.vortrag.com Some company out there was also developing a supercharger but has not gone anywhere with it.
