Default to be honest for mechanical id just buy a 2.0 short or long block like from eurosport

as for management i have no idea, but id like to know also, i plan ok keeping the A4 for a long time and making it a toy eventualy.

but check out eurospecsport.com they sell 1.8 and 2.0 20 valvers with forged or cast, buncha diff combinations.

Default I bought my parts from Eurospecsport a couple years ago......

Block parts & work cost $5200 for JE pistons, carillo rods and a forged 2.0L crank. After turbo kit, custom piping, FMIC, downpipe/cat/full exhaust, the $$$ was over 10k. For engine management, I used a piggy back fuel computer, but if I could start over, I'd do complete standalone, probably TEC3. I have over $55k invested into my car now, it's not cheap. (*car's f/s now, $15k will take it. Much cheaper than building yours up*)
