Are optima batteries ok? I dont run an aftermarket stereo/subs but needed a battery and had optima
I heard they dont provide enough power for the ignition if you are running high rpm (daily commute for me).

The altenator provides the power....
the battery is only there as a reserve.
Theoretically, you should only need the battery for starting, the altenator handles everything else while running.
