Default people with aftermarket clutches

did you use a new stock throw out bearing or the one supplied with the clutch?

Default For all the gazillion ones I've done.....

It's usually just the one that comes with the kit. If the kit doesn't come with one, we score one from the local dealer.

That one I just put in was straight from the dealer.

Default which clutch and any issues?

I'm trying to make a connection between clutches and issues and looking at the throw out bearing. Wondering if the ones aftermarket clutch companies use is any different than stock.

Default Southbend DXD and I had one minor issue...

that may or may not have been the clutch.

Occasionally, when taking off from the line in first, it would *barely* bit. Meaning, that I'd try to launch and I'd go almost nowhere. I'd back off, try again and it would be fine.

I replace the master cylinder, which didn't fix it and didn't get around to fixing the slave cylinder before I sold the car.

Other than that, it was great. That one problem annoyed the **** out of me though.

Default mine has some weird issues too

sounds similar to yours actually. Tends to happen when going from reverse to first and especially when the car is on an incline. I'm thinking something is up with that throw out bearing. The clutch holds well so I'm going to wait until I need replacement before going in there to look.

Default I hear you. I'd kind of resigned myself to just dealing with it...

Most of the time it was fine.
