PES T-28 DBW and engine light...
I have installed the kit with the evo fmic and a RennKAT cat on my 2001 Quattro. My problem is the engine light remains on. The VAG tool reads a serial comunication error. Does anyone know what this means or had similar problems? Is it in the software? Whith the kit I received RC injecctors, which apparently were wrong because Ron at pes sent me smaller ones that I guess go with the DBW kit. Anybody with DBW T-28 kit know what injecctors you are running, had any similar problems? PES cant seem to help me. Any thoughts please?

Are u having problems with the VAG itself or a DTC?...
Were u able to communicate with the car? If not, it is a problem with your VAG/PC and not your kit.
The engine light could be numerous things when this kit was installed in which many cases it just needs to be reset or clear the codes.

I agree if you are not getting an actual fault code #...
If your not getting a fault code # its probably the VAG-COM or your computer. Where you able to use the VAG prior to installation of the kit? Once you have a fault code # let us know.

You have a 2001 that is a dbw and that year uses 390cc injectors.
The CEL is most likely on because of the HFC. The error is because there is a problem with your cable or the plug at the lap top for your Vag.

I am not personally using the VAG myself, but the guy who is works on porches all day. I hope he knows what he is doing. He uses a palm pilot hooked straight into the car. Do we need the computer hooked up instead? I need help.
