Pics of Eurospecs latest Fikup

This is a pic of what happens to Euro spec rods when they hit a little over 300hp. This happened when the engine hit ~4000 rpm and was starting climb on hp. Dynomap shows a little over 300hp being put down when this happened. Wonder what would have happened at real levels. This was 2nd failure on a Eurospec kit. I will post 1st failure next.

That seems very strange..
Sure you were not pinging badly?
or leaky head gasket and coolant going into cylinder?
and first stuff up of wrist pin, damn, they use je psitons and je supplied wrist pins.
whats the total description of your setup?

No detonation reported or liquid.
Just a soft rod, cant you see that from the pic? Knock was being monitored on a 1552 during the incident, monitoring knock on channel 20, and the reading never exceeded 3kv - no knock. cylinder dry as bone, top of piston smooth as it was installed, plug good with no detonation damage. In other words the fault was in the rod. In the case of the 1st failure, a known defect in the wrist pin area was seemingly withheld from buyer and you see the results. Even J&E makes mistakes, but the difference with them and others less reputable is they own up to them and make things right. I am simply trying to warn people who pay good money for junk. I have nothing to gain, I dont sell engine blocks altho if I couldnt do better than the examples I have seen from them I would not build one in the 1st place. I know that it is hard to beleive a company would market such products even if they were running at levels they may not have been exposed to, but these pics dont lie. I wish you could make a 500hp engine or even a 400hp engine that has some hope of living, but I think the price of this level of HP and some assurance of it starting each day starts at around 10k$, and I couldn't duplicate my long block for anything close.

No at crank, car was just at 4000rpm
Beginning of the steep part of the curve my I5 went up by 200 hp in 800rpm. It was the start of the ramp tho. I will get the cr and bst when I talk again if I remember.

Re: No detonation reported or liquid.
JE doesn't do **** about their 4G63 pistons. The diameter is wrong (slightly undersized), but it has not been changed AFAIK.
So no, JE does not own up to mistakes all the time.
Callies only helped my friend with the cost (not even half of it IIRC) of a new forged crank designed to handle a 1200hp SBC. His BROKE with maybe 500hp and ruined a C5R block and some expensive valves, pistons, and rods.
