Default Posting some 1/4 mile times from Carlsbad ( more)

Took the TIP A6 2.7T out to get some performance times. I wasnt even worried about the "tree", i was only concerned about the 1/4 mile time.
1st run 2nd 3rd 4th
Launch rpm ~1800 ~1900 ~1900 ~1300

60' 2.338 2.290 2.315 2.503
1/8 9.485 9.454 9.535 9.658
1/8 mph 76.84 76.71 76.42 76.62
1/4 14.55 14.56 14.67 14.74
1/4 mph 99.60 98.95 98.73 100.4
GTECH 0-60 6.01 5.96 5.99 ====
Gtech 1/4 mi 14.55 14.50 14.71 14.70

I was too anxious at the start and did not get a perfect launch. I launched too early on the rpms. I was running a Gtech also, and it was very close. I knew how the final time would be, by looking at my 0-60mph time. The best Gtech I have done was 5.83 and 5.86 launching at ~ 2100rpm's, so I missed a little there.
The Tip also kept shifting into fourth well infront of the finish line. I tried in "D" mode, it shifted , tip mode it shifted, finally on the last run where I screwed up the launch, after the car shifted into 3rd, I dropped the selector into "3"(drive mode side) and it stayed in third thru the traps resulting in a higher speed. I think the car car can hit 14.4 and possibly 14.3 on a picture perfect run. Not too bad for a lazy ol' slushbox.

Default Yep, put in stock for service visit.

Before I did I ran 1 last 0-60mph run today, 1 run each way, launching at 2200.
Did not believe the 1st time so I did it again and about the same.
1st - 5.57
2nd - 5.54
At the track launching at lower rpm I ran 6.01 and 5.96. Gonna have to head back to Carlsbad in January.
I'll try to install AIM at work.

Default One theory is:

That when you reset the ECU is has to learn again. Just after resetting , if you WOT , you will overboost till the ECU learns. Happens with both stock and chipped ECU. Some people has said that after they get their car back from service and they had to reset the ECU, it felt like the car was more powerful. Then after time it returns to normal parameters. I remember seeing that error while at AMS(TBB), but was not cleared at that time. Could be completely wrong though on this. Maybe after a reset, take it easy for a bit, this may help prevent overboost and potential problems.
