Question about M.A.F. sensor and APR software...

Question about M.A.F. sensor and APR software...
Do I need to be running a specific part number airflow sensor because since my old one conked out and I replaced it with the dealer replacement, my car runs like crap and guzzles gas like crazy. That's the only new part installed.
