Question about oil pressure on a newly built motor.
I just rebuilt my motor with forged goodies, but I'm having a problem with oil pressure.
Fully warm on 10w40 dino oil I've only got 10psi @ idle, 25psi @ 2000rpm, and 45psi @ 3000rpm
The oil pump is new, I triple checked the torque on the mains and rod caps, and I checked the radial clearances for the bearings, they were on the high side but in spec.
I'm considering switching to 20w50.
Anyone else run into this issue?

Re: Question about oil pressure on a newly built motor.
i run about 20psi at idle
and about 60 psi from 2000 rpm upwards
when cold go up to 120psi+
on 10W50 true synthetic oil
you did re-install the oil squirters i hope.
