Default Question about oil weights

Is SAE 30W oil the same thing as 0W-30 oil?

Default No, unless it is labelled incorrectly

SAE 30W is a single grade (read viscosity) oil
SAE 0-30W is a multi grade (multiple viscosity) oil.

Two very different beasts.
