Default Question about rear suspension thump with coilovers

I recently put on a set of FK coilovers(over a month ago) and I'm noticing that the back set make a thumping (more like a double bounce) sound when going over torn-up roads. I took it to the dealership after having reviewed my set up completely. two techs and myself (having installed the suspension) couldn't find any rubbing, clearance issues, broken arms, nothing. I'm beginning to think that the left set of springs in the picture (the rears) are to blame. the first two to three coils on the springs are touching with the car sitting on the ground. This leads me to believe that when the car goes over pumping roads the coils seperate and then slam back together again creating that double bounce sound. does this sound plausable or am I way off? If this is the case then what?

I have H&R C/O's and I also hear a thump running over stuff from the rear. I thought it could have possibly been the spare tire rattling around, but I checked and it seemed pretty tied down. Anyhow i dont know what it is, I've been ignoring it.

Default How tight a fit is the upper shock mount within the tower? If there is any looseness there it can

whack as it shifts. IIRC some of the H&Rs needed to have that bolt tightened hard as hell to prevent a knock there. Worth a look anyway ...

I second that. I had to tighten the hell out of the upper mount to get them quiet.
