Default You must be going over the max flow rate of the MAF.

You might want to lower the boost down so you stay below 180 at the maf.

Default You burned another one?

Didn't Charlie G have this same problem, or something similar?

Have you thought about pulling the ECU out and checking the solder joints on the chip?

Another possibility is to get Audi R4R's chip and Ford MAF setup, and see if someone can alter the fuel tables so you can use smaller injectors. The Ford MAFs seem to be more robust, and if it does fail, they're cheap to replace.

I can get you a MAF voltage vs. flow curve for a Ford MAF, and maybe your chip tuner can put it in place of the stock MAF curve.

Default 180 g/s? That's fine if he doesn't mind only having 10 psi at redline....

my chipped K03 hits 180 at about 5500 RPM, then stays there until redline.

What he needs is a bigger MAF (or housing) and the necessary programming for it.

Default Sounds like a good option. I seem to burn it every two months...

burned two already. I'm waiting for this part so I could finally log. I bought a VAG and it's dusting on my desk.

Default No, I actually need to overcome that, It is lowered already to 1 bar...

If I always need to have low boost, might as well put the K03 back... =) yea right!

I'll be going with an aftermarket EMS, which doesn't use a MAF.

Default If the MAF is not vertical, it will keep breaking...

...if the search works, you will see that Lucas had this problem two years ago and found out that his filter setup caused the MAF to be tilted about 20 degrees from vertical. This caused it to keep blowing.

How is it installed and is it braced?

Default Good point...

And, check for oil blowby and filter oil. Both will kill it dead.
