Question for people that have upgraded to K04 >>>>>
What kind of 1/4 mile and 0-60 times are you getting ??? Also what is the fastest 1/4 mile someone has done with a K04 upgrade and what other mods did they have ??? Thinking of purchasing a used A4 1.8T Quattro will have money left over for K04 upgrade, but not enough for a stage 3. Thanks for any info.

Why do you say no headaches. With any kind of turbo upgrade you might have headaches.
Just because you bought it as a kit does not mean one of those injectors wont stick and everything on your car will go.

umm, youre wrong, the stage 3 costs ALOT more..
im using a k04 hybrid turbo that is putting out over 280hp. my best trap speed to date has been 99mph.
the entire kit costed about $2k less than the original price of the stage 3, or $1k less than the stage 3 on sale.

find me a local awd dyno..
280 is an estimate.. the hybrid flows 25% better than a stock k04 unit. abt uses the same turbo and has theirs at 286hp w/ their hybrid turbo only. im also using a 3" exhaust, downpipe and hiflo cat. so, i would assume that 280 is a relatively conservative guess..
my trap speeds have been @ 97mph and 99mph.. my et's were in the mid 14's and 15's due to slippage of my stock clutch. by calculating using a simple hp calculator with the weight of my car at 3565 (i weighed her with driver, gas and stereo), that puts me at around 230-270 hp at the wheels.. thats about 300 to the flywheel.
so like i said earlier, 280 is a conservative guess.

lol, thats pretty funny..
but for real, if you had the same thing, what would you estimate your hp at??
its just a ****ing estimate.
the original argument was that he said that the stage 3 was cheaper..
its not cheaper.
get off apr's dick. the gt25 is basically the t2small from a mitsubishi that uses ball bearings. its definately true the gt25 is a much better turbo than the dated k04 turbo, but i did this before the apr stage 3 came out.
not everyone likes things that everyone else does.. people sing their own songs you know..
if you dont like the k04, get the apr kit, its a great kit.. its just not for me. i cant justify paying $5000 for a kit that i can probably piece out for less than $3k. i understand the r&d that apr did costs $$ and this is why their kits are so expensive..
if you want to take this further, then email me.
this **** is pissing me off..
**** posting on this board anymore.. all those who have asked me questions about me **** before have gotten fair and what i deem are correct answers.

Re: lol, thats pretty funny..
At the wheels its possible to have 280hp. You might have more at the flywheel. But since, you are shooting nitrous onto your intercooler, you are wasting your nitrous. You are suppose to be shooting nitrous into your intake manifold. Therefore, I highly doubt that you are even getting anywhere near that. Actually, I m surprised you haven't screwed up your intercooler.
