Default Question on UUC Short shifter for S4s. Do they have any performance gains?

I wanted to know if there was any gain by having the UUC SS installed when racing?
I know that if feel sportier and racier due to the short throws and notichier shifting. But does it help when one is at the drag strip or at a track. If the gear syncros don't match, no matter how short the shifter, you're still engaging at the same time as a stock shifter. Corret me if I am wrong.
those that have SS do you track your car or is it for everyday feel?

The distance that you travel between shifts is decreased, which means less time spent moving the shifter into gear. I don't actually have one, but I am guessing that it is more for the feel and look than performance gains. I am sure that there is some gain by shortening the length, but I am not sure how significant the gain is.

Default I don't think so

The time you depress/release the clutch is the limiting factor. I can not work the clutch any quicker than moving the stock shifter. Maybe you might have a very slight improvement in teh 2 - 3 shift but that's about it.

Default No performance gains, other than a reduced chance of missing engaging a gear...

...which can pretty much be a killer -- an extra half second of zero horsepower to the ground really hurts when racing...

Default aren't the short shifter harder to engage than stock shifter?

The feel a little notchier than stock. But the stock is spongy.

Default Technically, maybe so. I only set mine at 20% -- mainly just to get rid of the sponginess...

I wish mine could do 30%. 40% does feel a tad notchy for my likes.
