Quik Poll: Which Brand(s) of Sport Springs and Shocks .......
reduce ride quality the LEAST, while still improving performance?
Thinking of upgrading my suspension, but don't want ride harshness!!
Thanks in advance.

Want to improve performance with the least deterioration in ride quality...
I presume some lowering, e.g., at least 1", will occur, which is OK.
Car will be driven partially on poorly repaved city streets; thus, the quest to retain as much ride quality as possible. And, partially on well-paved country roads, with little or no traffic lights or stop signs, where better handling and control could be put to good use.
Unlikely that the car will ever be used on a track.
Trying to determine whether just a combination of sport springs and sport shocks from makers such as H&R, Eibach, Bilstein, etc., would be best.
Or, alternatively, whether adjustable H&R PCS or Bilstein PSS9 coilovers would be better (and, if so, how hard or easy are they to adjust as the need arises)?

I suppose that's a possibility, but one shop I've spoken to....
suggested I just get Eibach (less stiff than H&R) sport springs and leave the stock shocks on; while another shop said doing that without changing
the stock springs would put too much pressure on them. So, the 2nd shop suggested I change to H&R springs and Bilstein shocks because they match up well. At this point, I feel what's being suggested to me is primarily what each shop has to sell.
That's why I'm seeking advice, perhaps from some
owners who've upgraded, what brand or combo
of brands would you or they would suggest.

I think the 2nd shop is right, too, but what do you think of...
the H&R spring and Bilstein shock combo they're suggesting?
Would you use any other springs and/or shocks to
achieve my goal of the least ride degradation?
