Race Tech Performance Meter (similar to G-Tech) - anybody use it?
<center><img src="http://www.cb-racing.com/race-tech/big_0_to_60_mph.jpg"></center><p>Has anyone used this device? I just signed up for one on a group buy on ClubB5.com . It seems to look pretty decent and offers more info than a G-Tech. I'm mostly interested in times, but there are quite a few features over the G-Tech that would be useful for me like measuring your reaction time, 60 foot times, continuous logging, and being able to dump the data to a PC.
I like the features that it offers - has anyone here seen/used one before? A couple links are in this group buy thread: http://clubb5.com/ubb/Forum18/HTML/000098.html
Thanks for your info!

Group buy is up and running
Okay, everything is ready to roll now on the group purchase. We have opted for the 5% discount program. With the 10% program, they wanted to ship all the units to me for repackaging and shipment from me. Everyone would have been in essence paying shipping twice this way, once from him to me, then me to you. Then there would have been the PayPal surcharge for those of you that wanted to make the payment to me by credit card.
Ultimately, the 5% discount program works out to just a few dollars more than what the 10% discount would have been after all the charges got added in. This way there are no upcharges for CC usage, etc. and orders (for the AC-22) can be fulfilled quicker.
So here is the ordering page, this is only active till 4/20/01: http://www.cb-racing.com/ordering_page-group.html
Just as a quick run down:
AC-22 unit:
Time the acceleration between any two speeds
(e.g. 0-60mph, 0-100mph)
Measure the time to do a quarter mile run
Measure braking time and distance
Measure the car's power at the wheels
Display the cornering or accelerating g-force
Indicate how near you are to losing grip
The performance meter can be set-up to use either metric or imperial units, whichever you prefer.
AP-22 unit:
The basic difference between the AC-22 and the AP-22 is that the AP-22 has far more memory (256kbit) and a RS232 port to allow runs to be recorded and then downloaded on the PC to enable further analysis. To give you some idea of the data that can be recorded have a look here. As well as the data logging abilities the AP-22 has a few other extras including compensation for body roll.
The AP-22 unit can do graphs of g-forces, power, speed, and distance!
