Default Racing Clutch?

Could anyone reccommend whether there's a racing clutch for the 2002 Audi A4 3.0Q 6speed? Thanks.

Default Re: Racing Clutch?

Does yours slip or something? Or are you planning on running a significantly larger amount of power through it to necessitate a more aggressive clutch lining?

Audi/Sachs/Luk clutches, especially the 240mm units, are typically quite robust. For example, the factory Luk unit used in the 1990-1991 7A (2.3L 20v, 164hp, 157lb-ft) powered B3's have been used in modified 10vt/20vt B-chassis cars producing 280-350+hp, and "a bunch" of torque that goes along with the 2.2L turbos. The typical factory Sachs/Luk units for the 01E (6spd) transmissions are heavier duty than that of the 7A/01A 20v/5spd clutch. Unless your clutch has been abused, it should be more than adequate for your 220hp AVK code 3.0L. BTW, there's a B3 quatto sedan running around the NE-USA with a 7A clutch in it, and is powered by a 3.6L V8, at least 250hp and "gobs" of torque. It's already been auto-x'd too.

If you do want one, see what South Bend Clutch can do for you. There are a few other places that I can't think of right now, that make good clutches for Audi transmissions.
