Default Random blow off sound help me

I have an 02 B6 1.8T quattro with ~48k. It's bone stock. There is a random sound that started awhile back that sounds like a light blowoff. Its only loud enough to hear from the cabin with the windows closed. It doesn't matter how fast or what gear I'm in... if i'm on the throttle it will happen at random every few seconds and especially when accelerating. It will not happen during idle stop. It's not a woosh like the DV makes... it's a quick PTSH. Any ideas? I've replaced the DV but no change.

I also have a baseball card in the spokes sound that happens when I get on the throttle and let off btwn 2500-3500 revs, but only when the car is warmed up.

My guess would be that you have a bad turbo boot.

Default Thanks, I'll give it a shot

I could always dunk a gerbil in sealer and make it crawl through the entire system.

I found a DIY pressure tester post... I'll give this a try. Thanks!

Default I fixed it...

I'm not sure what happened or how. Before I could put together a pressure tester I took the time to replace the air filter and fuel filter just because it was time and because of all the horror stories I've read on this forum. After replacing both, I drove the car to make sure everything was functioning. The sound was still there. But after about 10 minutes the sound disappeared completely. No more strange noises.
