Re: coilovers... Which brand offers greatest drop and which offers least drop for S4?
I did a search; I got nothing but what people were setting their heights at - nobody said what their CO's max drop or min drop is.
I'm trying to get the range of drop for all coilovers available for the S4. I'm curious to know which brand has the maximum drop of all and which has the minimum drop of all brands - and what are these numbers.
If you know, post the brand and the drop numbers please.
TIA

It's not really that important the max drop on most coilovers, because your car will never go that low on the street. Most of the coilover kits, can drop till your tires are smashed into your wells except the Bilstein PSS9 kit, which does not lower that much, iirc 1.5" or something.
On the flip side, there is no min drop, you can raise your car if you want to.

"...there is no min drop, you can raise your car..." How can this be true when the coilovers are...
advertised/promoted with drops from "X" to "Y" and consumers look to these numbers to make decisions?

Updated S4 Coilover Comparison from an old post of mine
Here are some options:
All are HEIGHT adjustable on-car.
All that have Damping adjustments (e.g. Compression & Rebound) are adjustable off-car
Maker: Spring Rate f/r | Damper | Adjustments | Drop f/r
1.) Koni A4(STaSIS): 420/390 | Koni twin-tube | rebound adj. | 0-2"/0-2"
2.) H&R Streets: 450/450(475Avant) | Gas charged | no adj. | 1-2"/1-1.75"
3.) H&R Ultras: 500/625 | Gas charged | no adj. | 1-3"/1-3"
4.) FK: 480/360 | Koni twin-tube | rebound adj. | 1.8-2.7"/1.8-2.7"
5.) Intrax: 445/362 | Gas charged | rebound & compression adj. | 0-3"/0-2.5"
EDIT: According to SPP this kit is not as described on the Intrax site and is in fact a Koni based twin-tube rebound adjustable only kit. An alternative 800/1100 autocross spring rate for this setup is also offered

What are you talking about...
You can leave your car at STOCK height with coilovers if you want. And why are you so fixated on how low you can drop the car. Just get some bags for the car...seems like the better choice for you.

Bags??? Ok... no need to trash mouth me... secondly, I originally asked this because >>>
I was curious and wanted to gather the data for some number crunching.
I asked why you said, "...there is no min drop..." because so many of the makers claim a minimum to a maximum drop. You negated this claim with your statement, ergo, my redirected question back to you.
Regardless, I got what I wanted from Zzak.
