Relocating battery to the trunk.. Do I need to place it in a sealed box?
I am planning on relocating the battery to the trunk to move weight towards the back..
Will I need to place the battery in a sealed box? What kits are out there to do this? Thanks!

Several places like Summit racing or PAW have kits
You can use a sealed plastic box for it. You can also use a Optima battery, just make sure you side posts, and cover the top posts and all will be well. A battery box is cleaner. You will lose a LOT of trunk space, however.

My Miata has the battery in the trunk and it is not in a box.
8 months with it and I'm still here .
I'm not sure what type of battery it is though.

Hawker
...also makes a 25 lb sealed battery. Similar ones carried by Pegasus.
