For the 1.8t the Remus is just a muffler and most everyone says it doesn't make any power. However from the test in European Car the Remus made more power than most of the cat back systems on a vw 1.8t. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Obviously there is power to be made with the downpipe but what about the stock resonator. Most people here say it is restrictive but several people say once they took it off you could see thru it so it doesn't seem it would be that restrictive. My impressions are that the most restictive parts of the exhaust are in this order

1. dp
2. rear muffler
3. stock pipe diameter
4. resonator
