Default repost: help with this code please.... 17884 Evap Leak Detection pump insufficient vacuum...

i'm only hitting 17-18 psi. any suggestions on what i should check first? thanks.

... it could be a malfunction with the Evap system or insufficient vacuum. You can run the evap system with the output diagnostic from vag-com.

If you have an aftermarket exhaust you could have a problem with the vac line going to the evap system in the rear, touching/melting against the exhaust.

Otherwise, start looking for vacuum leaks.

I'm in the process of looking for a vacuum leak right now.
