S4/A6 2.7T tip tranny bolt up to A4 1.8T that had tip tranny?
Could anyone in the know tell me if it's possible or who knows someone who may know.
The 6sp in the S4 was put on an A4 5sp by someone here, so why not the tip tranny from S4 into an A4 that had a tip?

Yes. It's the same tranny. 5HP19 01V 5 speed quattro tip.
And I was one of the 6 speed swaps into a 1.8T. BTW, there's no performance gain in a tip swap, unless there's a difference in final drive gear ratios, & I don't think there is.

It's not the same tranny, S4 uses 5HP24 which is rated for more torq
310 ft/lbs to be exact. The 5HP19 used in the A4 line is rated to 230 ft/lbs
The only benefit is the extra power handling ability.

right off ZF spec sheet, been posted a few times around AW
Just saw it again about 2 days ago, but didn't save the pic.
I havn't been able to find any good pictures of both trannies to see if their front ends match or not.
