Default What year? C5?

For an S4 to beat a C5 Corvette, your only hope is a lousy Corvette driver or poor traction.

Unlike the S4, the Vette is a true sports car. It weighs much less and makes a lot more power. I think you're looking at RS4 power or more.

Weighing a 1,000lbs less would help a lot more... better start your diet.

Default Lets see, stage 3 such as MTM will give you enough power

...but you'll still need to shed some weight (like 300lbs) and you should be able to just edge him. If you can't shed the weight, you'll need 400hp which is a stage 4 setup (i.e. new turbos). I believe APR is working on this as we speak...

13.2 if you're a kick *** driver, 13.5 and upwards is average I would guess.

Default a chip, intake and exhaust is good for what, 320HP?

A Vette makes 350. It also weighs about 3200lbs and you weigh over 3600lbs. (3593 if you don't have ANY options)

A Vette is rated at 13.2 stock with a stick in a coupe or convertible. But there just no way that a car which weighs 15% more and makes 10% less HP can match up. It's just math and physics. The Vette is going to start out ahead with its 4.9 0-60 and you will never catch up.

Perhaps it is telling that the RS4 makes the 1/4 in 13.1 secs. And it has 380HP (and a bit more weight). Running the 1/4 in 13.2 secs with 320HP isn't really realistic. I'm not going to say it can't be done, as I'm sure it has. But it's clear from the stats on comparable cars that 13.2 isn't really a number you can expect to do yourself.

A Z06 will of course pants you, but there are few of those.

The original question asked about 50-100 specifically, and I don't really know if the Vette is strong at 50-100. I know the S4 is. So its possible that you don't need to be able to win in the quarter to win 50-100.

Default C5 Hardtop: Hope you weren't the guy I just raced.

I love the S4, I too own an Audi (2000 A4 quattro 1.8T). I couldn't quite convince the wife that I needed a vette and an S4..

Any way, I just took my car to Capitol raceway in Md on Friday night for the first time.. With 2.1 to 2.3 60 foots my best time was a 12.7@112 with a short shift into forth..with near readline shifts, I had multiple back to back runs at 12.8 @114. With a 1.8 to 1.9 60 foot (which BTW is possible with a good launch) 12.4 to 12.6's should be in line..

My car is a stock 99 hardtop..

The S4 is a great car, but with about $5000 in to the vette, there have been multiple runs at low elevens at over 124 MPH (hardtop or Z06 c5's).

nice car never the less.

50-100 no chance I'd pull an easy 4 car lenghts and by 120 7-8 car lenghts... I've topped out at over 180...0-100 time 9.9 sec 0-60 time 4.5

I think if the guy in the vette couldn't drive you might have a chance, otherwise even with 350 hp after 100 the vette would hand you your @#$@%.

2000 A4 1.8T quattro (APR chipped, custom 3" exhaust, custom front mount intercooler) 14.4@96.5
1999 C5 Hardtop 12.8@114.5 2.18 60ft(stock with top of airbox removed...head work, cams, header exhaust, 10lb supercharger inthe works .. hopefully high 10's at 130+)
