Default San Francisco to Vegas and back, APR stage III gas milage........(edited)

Pretty damn impressive! Longest road trip ever in my 2000 1.8, and certainly with stage III........

595 miles, 9 hours flat, both legs.

1st leg, avg.speed 72mph 25.9mpg
2nd leg, avg.speed 70mph 27.2mpg

running in "stock"mode both ways.

Just an FYI.

Audi On!
ps.this of course is based on my math 8-)
pps. oh yea, to the guy in the Mustang GT, Nice try! 8-)

Default Is the mileage from the comp.?

I have heard the larger injectors make it appear like you are getting better mileage.

Default nope from gas consumption and actual miles traveled.....

went to Reno once when GIAC'd and got 28 up and near 30 back....thats what long mountain downhill runs will do for ya! 8-)

Default stage III stock mode is'nt actually stock if you know what I mean.......

the Mustang would be behind me in the fast lane, we're doing 85mph (running at 3800rpms is at peak torque +/-) I'd see a gap in the slower right lane, down shift into 4th and Whoosh......85 to 110mph takes a second or two!!! stang would try the move and the door would close on him before he could get back into the left lane.......miles down the road there he was behind me, down to 4th whoosh......after about 4-5 times of this I never saw him again 8-)

Default Have you been to the track at all dingster.

Last time I ran a 14.9 with the IC tube at the turbo hanging off. It blew off when I shifted to 3rd gear. I had to coast to the finish line.
