Yeah, that should be Porch.

Looks cool Scott. So are you gonna haul your *** down to Summit anytime this year? I'll make a deal with you... Once our cars are done, you have to come to Summit, and I have to go to the Glen.
Take your time. I'm in no rush to look at that blue stuff.

Another thing..it won't be a Palmer-Audi tranny...$$$...
which is a Hewland. The H patern costs $15,000.00. the sequential costs $22,000.00. I have a friend parting out an S4 with about a 1000 miles on it, the 6 speed will bolt up to the 1.8T we will use that one instead. That will be fun!!

Found the Hewland guys I wrote you about -
Try Taylor Race Engineering - they have a web page. Also try contacting Hewland directly at their site - http://www.hewland-engineering.co.uk I told you about Valley Engineering, but I may have confused them with Taylor....but I can't remember....cuz it's been a long time since I've played with Hewlands.
How much for a Hewland Box ??? The list pricing for Hewland FGC's looks to be 9-14K. Check out Race-cars.com - they always have a few Hewland boxes in their transmissions section. An FT-200 or a DG would give you the torque handling capacity you need, and they can be found for $2k - 8k.
The S4 box will probably be OK if you are sure that you won't have any ground clearance problems. The beauty of Hewland/Webster/Staffs gearboxes is that they're designed to keep the whole motor & gearbox package as low as possible in the chassis, so you can run your ride heights right down to nada.
Of course, with the S4 box you get syncro's. With the Hewland, you get to learn the true art of the double clutch downshift, which is always ugly and noisy as you climb the learning curve.
