Sending turbine housing and manifold to HPC - should I send cat also?
I'm sending the turbine housing of my T3/T04E to HPC for the hi-temp coating along with the new manifold. Anyone ever coat a cat? Is this a bad idea for some reason?
TIA

Um, no, or you'll cook the cat. (m)
The cat needs to dissipate heat. Any heat retention past the turbo is of no benefit. If you want to reduce the underhood temps due to the cat, relocate it out of the engine bay.
