Default Sick of DBW...who can tune one?

I have been limping along with my 2000 A4 for about 2 years now and haven't had it run right. I am looking for a tuner that will take the time to ensure that it is 100% before giving it back to me. Right now I have a hodge-podge K04 with a clipped exhaust wheel and some 310 injectors. The car does not run right and has not run right since I put this turbo on. I am thinking of just getting a regular K04 to put on there but would like to have a tune shop do it so I have someone to bug when the car doesn't run right because I know it won't

Anybody have any suggestions for what I can do or who I can talk to or where I can go?

Thanks,
-Brent

Default Let me know if you find anyone

I have a 2000 as well. =(

At this point, I'm planning to just enjoy it with chip and exhaust, then go with a used S4, or else the new Lancer EVO or WRX STi...

I really like my car, but I want something faster, and I definitely do not want headaches from trying to mod it and have it not run right. I went through that with my GSR already....

Thanks,

If you want stand alone, Autronics is the way to go.

Adrenalin has their own 1.8T (Audi engine) Corrado running on Autronics. Engine is a non-dbw making over 320hp wheels on race gas at 20psi.

Their other project car is a dbw Golf 1.8T converted to non dbw making 283 whp on pump gas running TEC3.

Both are running a T04E turbo.

Between TEC3 and Autronics, I'll pick Autronics.

Default 376 hp at the crank seems a little low for a T04E turbo running 20psi.

Is this the same corrado that was running the 1.8 with a K03 and NOS making 350 hp at the crank?

Default Budget? What budget?

It was gone a long time ago

I'm looking at either Haltech, because it's cheap, has a lot of support, and is supposedly easy to setup, or the Autronic, because it has a lot of nice features.

I figure the $400 I save on a chip (plus tuning costs) combined with whatever I can get from my current ECU/chip/wiring harness should cover at least half the cost of an aftermarket system (hopefully)

The Race version of the AEM EMS will not be out for at least two months, and it keeps getting pushed back, so that probably won't be an option.

Default Sounds like nobody can.....

Any of the actual tuners that read this forum have anything to input? Maybe "WHY" it's such a problem tuning the DBW cars. It has been almost three years now that these cars have been in america. In that short time there have been awesome kits developed that make some real power on the non-dbw cars, so what's the deal with the DBW cars? What makes them so difficult to tune correctly?
