Default So if i run a Greddy Profec B EBC simply as a N75 replacement...

not to run more boost, but to replace the N75 with a better part...how exactly will it be better?

Second, since boost varies based on temps, loads, etc..wouldn't i have to adjust the EBC myself? I run 18-20 psi in winter, 20-23 psi in summer...so would i just have to choose a summer and winter setting myself?

Cheers,
Sameer

Default Re: The profec is quicker reacting then your N75 valve...

It has dual solenoids. Spoolup will be a tad faster more then likely. It has a balance **** to control the wastegate boost responce. A fully adjustable low boost **** as well as another high boost **** which is also adjustable.

Like in street where I dont want to run crazy boost or its hot out, maybe play with the ricers I leave on low boost, hit the high boost button, which I know what boost level I left it on and i'm ready to rock, all business. Boost is easily adjustable to wherever u want it on the fly!

Any benefit to combine an EBC with the GIAC X-chip?

Default Re: Basically you will overspin your turbo and run lean...

you will be getting more boost later in the RPMS and the chip will control the boost in the higher RPM's. Lots of heat from running the turbo out of the efficiency range also.More boost also will mnore then likely be moving more air and the chip will not be dumping enough fuel...lean lean lean is the verdict...although I bet the car feels stronger:-)

The Xchip is running pretty much max of what you want on the street.

Default Step motor, 2 vac lines to the turbo/wastegate

run the harness into the car and get power/ground. Pretty easy to install, less then an hrs work.
